• Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
• Business details: business name, industry, time in business, revenue range, funding goals, and anything else you share in a form or on a call.
• Credit and financial information: credit reports, scores, and statements you choose to share with us so we can review your funding readiness.
• Account information: the email address and password you use to sign in to a client portal or affiliate dashboard.
• Affiliate information: your application details and, once approved, the payout and tax information required to pay you and issue a 1099 (legal name, address, phone, tax classification, taxpayer identification number, and payout method details).
• Payment information: card and billing details are entered on our payment processor's secure checkout. We receive a confirmation, the amount, and limited card details such as the last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.

When you visit the site we record basic technical information such as pages viewed, the referring link, approximate location, browser type, and the referral code attached to an affiliate link. Referral codes are stored in your browser for 30 days so that credit is applied correctly.

• Professional advisors, such as our accountant, and tax authorities where required for 1099 reporting.

Access to client and affiliate records is restricted to authorized Built Capital accounts, and our database enforces row-level access rules so people only see their own information. Sensitive identifiers such as taxpayer identification numbers and bank account numbers are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep enquiry and client records for as long as needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterward, and we keep payment, commission, and tax records for at least the period required by law, typically seven years. You can ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep.

The site is intended for business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
